Snow Day...Week

We have been "iced in" our house for the past 3 days! I went to work Monday, but that night temperatures dropped and rain came through. Thus resulting in icy roads! Snow days are great just for the fact you don't have to work, BUT being cooped up in the house can sometimes be tiresome! These days are even more tiresome with a sick toddler running around! Brooks had an on/off fever Monday-Wednesday, and a really bad cough and runny nose! He is much better now (thursday), but still hanging on to the runny nose. We are all just wishing we could get out and go do something, but it is FREEZING outside, and the roads are still pretty bad:)

Stu was brave enough to venture out to Target to get us some groceries last night:)  We had run out of milk and pretty much everything else edible in the house! So today looked a little brighter when we actually had some things to eat! ha. I wish I had some fun pictures to share, but they would all show us sitting around in our pajamas watching movies!

**Update

Well, our snow week lasted all the way through Friday! Friday morning, they thought a "dust" of snow was going to be coming through, but it ended up being about 6 inches of snow! It was beautiful! Snow was everywhere, and Brooks was sooo excited to see it when he woke up. We took him outside after breakfast (mostly so we could get out for 15 min) to play. The snow was too powdery to really make any snowballs, so we really just walked around in it. We walked down to the park at the end of our street looking for some kind of hill to slide on, but didn't have any luck with that. The only thing that happened was that Brooks decided he was too cold to be outside anymore! So we went back to the house, and right before we went in Brooks fell down and got snow in his jacket and pants...thus completely ending our snow adventure! He cried and cried even as we came inside...it wasn't until his hands and face warmed up did he settle down:) Here are some pictures below!

I really didn't mean to take this picture of Stu throwing a snowball at the fence, but it came out cool!

The snow is beautiful until you fall down in it! Poor Brooksman!
