Brooks at 8 Months

1. You cry whenever we leave the room...even when one of us is already sitting there with you, you will cry if the other ones leaves.

2. You are starting to get really animated. You "talk" and make noises for long periods of time. You are clapping and open and close your hands like you are saying "bye bye" a lot. You also love to make this popping sound with your lips.

3. You are not crawling yet, but you roll and scoot yourself in circles on the floor. Oh, and you hate to be on your stomach. That is the quickest way for us to make you upset.

4. You absolutely LOVE standing up! You can balance yourself on furniture for about 5 minutes at a time as long as nothing is distracting you to make you reach for it:) If you are fussing, we will move you to a standing position and you immediately smile.

5. You sleep between 10-12 hours a night. Bless you!

6. Right before you fall asleep you drape your arm over the bumper in the crib. That is usually how you sleep...on your side with an arm hanging on the bumper.

7. Oddly enough, you are just now starting to take a pacifier. You haven't really cared for one too much since you were born, but now you like it a lot! We think it has to do with teething.

8. You are very ticklish under your neck and on your sides. Your laugh ALWAYS makes us laugh...even though we have heard it a hundred-thousand times.

9. You love the cats. Poor Anabelle will let you pull and tug on her all day long without moving or pawing at you. Mercedes, however, will bite your hand (not hard people) and you never cry, but you look at her like, "I can't believe you just did that!" Then you will stick your hand out to her again for her to bite it. Mom and Dad don't like it when you do that, though, so it stops pretty quick.

10. You just now seem to like watching Baby Einstein videos.

11. Everyone absolutely loves you and goes on nonstop about what a great baby you are! Of course we agree, but we don't know it any other way!
